COLLECTOR Mustang 1965 Shelby Gt350 - 1 Of 3 - Shelby Training School Car - $1,150,000.
1965 Shelby GT350 …
This is an original Shelby Training School Car – with many modifications done on it by the school itself. If you are a collector or curator, this is of course, a “must have”. There were 3 cars used in the Carroll Shelby School of High Performance Driving, one of the most successful in the world.
One of the other cars used at the school is at the Petersen Automotive Museum here in Los Angeles.
This car was driven by some of the most famous drivers in the world, all original high performance. It is fully documented in the Shelby registry and fully restored.

Last night we dropped by Bob’s Big Boy in Burbank…

I had the fortune to meet one of the editors from Mustang Monthly magazine, Miles Cook.
Miles brought his 1967 T5 Fastback which came back to the US from Germany. It is dark blue and GORGEOUS. For more info on T5’s go to: www.FordT5.com

Here’s a few more shots of this beauty…

Miles also has a 1969 Highland Green Fastback which he is preparing for the Silver State race in Nevada in September. For anyone that does not know about this race, you can check out the website: www.sscc.us.
I had not heard of this but it sounds pretty awesome. People run on a highway, LEGALLY averaging speeds from 95-150 mph for 90 miles. There’s also an unlimited class where the drivers go as fast as they can for the 90-mile run–averaging more than 200 mph in some cases. The route has a twisty section so it’s about speed, navigating and driving ability. OK, more about fun than anything. Miles has already run this car five times, and has had a blast getting it up to 150 mph with the 351W engine and five-speed transmission in this baby.

This car has a lot of suspension mods on it, no doubt making flying over the bumps in the road a little smoother.

Miles invited me to help navigate on the next Silver State race, if I go I will have some awesome blog material for you for sure.

While in Vegas I toured Tom’s Motorsports Facility at the Las Vegas Speedway.

Tom and his amazing team do TOP quality Cobra and Mustang restoration, upgrades, and more. Here’s some eye candy for you on some of their projects and specimens…

This is a Mustang GT 500 which someone is having SAVED from the grave. The punch list of to – dos is 3 pages long.

Disney is a movie which needed a CLASSIC 1968 BULLITT mustang and Tom’s team is giving them EXACTLY that. Here’s some photos of the car from every angle I could get at…

Here’s some Cobra pics. Of course the cars are perfect for someone my size. But what if you are a 6’ 5 basketball player? No problem. They put in a drop box so your legs can stretch as far as you want them to. No cramped knees… after all we want to be comfortable when we are strutting our stuff in a bad- ass Cobra right?

www.kroyerracingengines.com

I toured the Kroyer Racing Engines facility at 7005 Speedway Blvd. Las Vegas, NV. Kevin Kroyer and his team are the hottest and most knowledgeable engine builders around. The Kroyer engines have won numerous championship awards and Kevin has a reputation for uncompromising quality and results.

Located right by the NASCAR race track in Vegas. Where you can buy 98 OCTANE gasoline…

Here is a future BAD ASS engine being built …

Here is the boreing and stroking machine…

After it is put together it gets tested to determine the Dyno’s

After an engine is tested in the Dyno testing room, it goes here to the Dyno testing platform to get an even more accurate gauge of the horsepower your Mustang or Cobra will have when it is on an actual road.

AWESOME TOUR. Great to see the inside of where and how the action happens.
THANKS GUYS!
