Where Horses Run Free
Mojo, the MustangMadam Mascot and myself went for a walk over to the horse park this afternoon. The horse park ( Martinez Arena) sits at the base of the Griffith Park mountains and trails. It is a huge open arena where you can let your horse run and run and run and buck and sweat and roll and then run some more.
I have taken Mojo there twice before, but he is a little bit of a Mama’s boy ( still 3 years old) and has only followed me around and never just taken off. It was really quite silly – having all the open space and having him follow me around like a kindergartner on the first day of school. I have been working with him since then getting him comfortable with new environments and I thought he was a little more confident now so I took him over and let him loose…

We had a great day and he was so much fun to watch. If you are one of his fans you are more than welcome to come with us one afternoon to watch. When he was done, he really was DONE, happy to go home. As you know Mojo has agreed to be our mascot so long as we donate to his favorite cause of helping to preserve the plains where his Mustang cousins live and roam free.
