I think everyone was wondering ( certainly I was) who was going to buy the famous 1969 GT 500. And who got it?  The “mysterious” Ron Pratt.  Yes, Ron Pratt, international man of mystery - who will not give interviews or tell us anything about himself, who he hangs out with, nothing.  What we know of him probably came from a stolen FBI file.  However - he has EVERY RIGHT to his privacy.  He is a land developer, business tycoon who lives in Chandler, Arizona.   Last year at the Barrett Jackson auction Ron Pratt bought Carroll Shelby’s personal supercharged 427  Cobra, seen here, for $5 Million. Ron Pratt is obviously also a collector of fine automobiles.  I would love to see his museum, wouldn’t we all.  Maybe someday we can have a sneak peak but I’m not holding my breath. This year he bought Carroll Shelby’s personal 1969 GT 500 for $675,000.   At least we know one more thing about Ron Pratt, he’s fond of Carroll Shelby.  Here’s the car that was more than half a million dollars.
