BOB’S BIG BOY CLASSIC CAR SHOW April 25th 2008

Tonight was great! We got there around 9 pm or so, the place was PACKED! The local Fire Department even came to show off! As we entered the parking lot, one of the firemen was checkin’ out my Mustang and asked “ is that YOURS? I said yes, “ is THAT YOURS?”! Nodding to the Fire engine.

What was really great was that the place was PACKED and somehow we were guided into a spot under the lights practically in the front. I had to back up in a tight spot in the middle of a crowd of people, which I did with relative grace ( I must say), but we GOT it. People are SO nice at these shows! As soon as we got out of the car we were busy talking to people and groups of people about my mustang and mustangs in general NON STOP. Tons of people coming over to see my 65 Mustang and share stories. So much fun.

I met lots of Mustang and classic car enthusiasts, here I am with Eric and Drew who came in on street legal dirtbikes. They were on a cruise heading through the mountains of Griffith Park and dropped in to check out Bob’s.

When I saw this green 67 Mustang coupe pull in I had to run over and shoot a pic. Owned by Mike, who gave me some AWESOME tips and also happens to own one of the most rare Mustangs ever made, limited run of the 68s, only 200 or so made. I will be doing a story on that later.

One highlight of the evening was this: Ok, in my blog last night, “ 69 Mach 1 Vid” I wrote about a guy who pulled up next to me in a 37 Ford in Hollywood, who wanted to race me. Well, I thought, “ it’s a shame I didn’t give him my card, I will probably never see him again”, but, he showed up at Bobs! He is in the bad ass bike business…www.powerplantchoppers.com.

Just before midnight I was able to sneak away and get some shots of this SEXY 65 Fastback. Wow. I really loved this Mustang. Then a shot of my new friend leaving on his bike..

When I went back to my Mustang there was a delightful couple that had just finished a delicious meal at Bob’s that came over to talk and point out that they never see girls who are this “into” cars. Well, Deborah was a ham, and as she was looking things over she grabbed my glasses from the inside of my seat , put them on and said “ and of course, no 65 Mustang is complete without some 70’s retro glasses!”. Here she is …

Then they started asking how it was to drive it, so I had to show the interior and start it.

Here we are in the car. I was LAUGHING! Great pic of Deb! deborah-65-mustang_2.JPG

I met some great people, and a fellow named Rory who used to restore and rebuild Mustangs for a living who gave me some great tips.

Another fun night at Bob’s Big Boy in Burbank!
