Shelby World Headquarters Tour Teaser
I am currently in Las Vegas Nevada on a two day tour of the Shelby World Headquarters, I have tons of pictures and I need to go to sleep ( testing Cobra’s tomorrow!) but I wanted to upload a few pics! This place is awesome, I also was let in “behind the scenes” due to my fortunate acquaintance with Mark Logan, the number one Classic Shelby dealer in the US, and my personal tour guide.
This is a shot behind the scenes where Cobra’s get put together and made to exact specifications of their buyers. The original Shelby Cobra was one of the most unique race cars made largely due to the weight/HP ratio.
This is an exact replica of THE 1968 Highland Green Mustang of the original Bullitt movie that Disney productions requested for an upcoming movie. LOOK AT IT. IT’S IDENTICAL.
Here I am in a 1965 Cobra which is in the shop being modified. Sitting in this car in this position was INCREDIBLY COMFORTABLE. I felt like my body was MADE to drive in this position. The low center of gravity coupled with the horizontal position was natural and I really look forward to the day when I get my own Cobra to drive. I have had other sports cars ( BMW Z4) which still did not compare.
OVER AND OUT. I have to get up early to go test drive to make sure they are working right.
