A week ago I had 2 new shocks put on and TOMORROW I am getting the other 2 PLUS NEW SWAY BARS put on. I can not wait to see the difference and I will definitely write about it.
Here are the old and new shocks, the blue ones were a little “soft” … I can already tell the difference from getting stiffer shocks put… stay tuned for tomorrow story and info on brands I used and the difference it makes.
Earlier this week we visited Galpin Auto Sports. It is more than an auto sport shop… WAY MORE. They have a wide assortment of bad ass rims, exhaust systems, Carroll Shelby driving shoes, and T SHIRTS! The kind you want to wear, it is also where they film the show ” Pimp My Ride” on MTV. In short, you can pimp your car and your own wardrobe out at the same time when you visit Galpin Auto Sports.

You and your car will NOT leave Galpin Auto sports looking uncool. They have taken every precaution to ensure this. But really – you see for yourself! Go VISIT!
Then when you are finished you can stroll through their museum of gorgeous classic and modern vehicles.
Here is the Aston Martin owned by Slash from Guns – n- Roses – there getting some finishing touches. It was drop dead gorgeous…
One of the best parts of Galpin Auto Sports is the filming of the show “ Pimp My Ride”. It has a delightful cast and dazzling suspenseful subject matter.

Here is Mad Mike - WHAT A GUY!
Here we are with Flame…
Here is a car “mid pimping”…

Here is a truck mid pimping… its got TVs and a barbeque…
Here’s a Mustang fastback that will soon receive a pimping… I CAN’T WAIT TO SEE THAT ONE!!!
Galpin Auto Sports is located at 15600 Roscoe Blvd. Van Nuys, CA. Check out their website!

Earlier this week we visited Marlo’s Frame and Alignment shop at 10225 Canoga Ave. in Chatsworth, CA.
The shop is run by Marlon Mitchell, and named after is dad - “Marlon” because they opened the business together in May of 1984. He has two employees – Brian and Bill who help him get the job done RIGHT. The business is truly a labor of love and it shows in the work they do. Marlon’s work has been featured in approximately 20 different magazine articles and counting. He was also the president of two Mustang Clubs before starting his own, “The All Mustang and Ford Club of Southern California”. Marlon Mitchell has been called upon to work on numerous cars featured in television and movies such as the Batmobile and the Starsky and Hutch Car.
Marlon Mitchell truly pours his heart and soul into his work with his priority being a job that exceeds customer expectations for a very reasonable price - and a very happy customer.
Here is one of Marlons team mates at the shop – Bill.
Marlon has also had the pleasure of working on some damn hot cars, such as this 1969 Mustang owned by David Draimen from the band “ Disturbed”.

Or this extremely gorgeous 1965 restored fastback and 1966 Black coupe…
Here I am with Marlon, Bill and Brian.
Aside from being an expert in his trade, and a brilliant club leader, Marlon Mitchell has a great sense of humor and will have you laughing if you spend any amount of time around him - another forte - and no extra charge.
