Bob’s Big Boy Friday 9th of May 2008
Written by madam on May 10, 2008 – 7:12 pm -Last night we dropped by Bob’s Big Boy in Burbank…
I had the fortune to meet one of the editors from Mustang Monthly magazine, Miles Cook.
Miles brought his 1967 T5 Fastback which came back to the US from Germany. It is dark blue and GORGEOUS. For more info on T5’s go to: www.FordT5.com
Here’s a few more shots of this beauty…

Miles also has a 1969 Highland Green Fastback which he is preparing for the Silver State race in Nevada in September. For anyone that does not know about this race, you can check out the website: www.sscc.us.
I had not heard of this but it sounds pretty awesome. People run on a highway, LEGALLY averaging speeds from 95-150 mph for 90 miles. There’s also an unlimited class where the drivers go as fast as they can for the 90-mile run–averaging more than 200 mph in some cases. The route has a twisty section so it’s about speed, navigating and driving ability. OK, more about fun than anything. Miles has already run this car five times, and has had a blast getting it up to 150 mph with the 351W engine and five-speed transmission in this baby.

This car has a lot of suspension mods on it, no doubt making flying over the bumps in the road a little smoother.

Miles invited me to help navigate on the next Silver State race, if I go I will have some awesome blog material for you for sure.

Shelby World Headquarters Tour Teaser
Written by madam on April 30, 2008 – 11:48 pm -I am currently in Las Vegas Nevada on a two day tour of the Shelby World Headquarters, I have tons of pictures and I need to go to sleep ( testing Cobra’s tomorrow!) but I wanted to upload a few pics! This place is awesome, I also was let in “behind the scenes” due to my fortunate acquaintance with Mark Logan, the number one Classic Shelby dealer in the US, and my personal tour guide.

BOB’S BIG BOY CLASSIC CAR SHOW April 25th 2008
Written by madam on April 26, 2008 – 1:39 am -
Tonight was great! We got there around 9 pm or so, the place was PACKED! The local Fire Department even came to show off! As we entered the parking lot, one of the firemen was checkin’ out my Mustang and asked “ is that YOURS? I said yes, “ is THAT YOURS?”! Nodding to the Fire engine.
What was really great was that the place was PACKED and somehow we were guided into a spot under the lights practically in the front. I had to back up in a tight spot in the middle of a crowd of people, which I did with relative grace ( I must say), but we GOT it. People are SO nice at these shows! As soon as we got out of the car we were busy talking to people and groups of people about my mustang and mustangs in general NON STOP. Tons of people coming over to see my 65 Mustang and share stories. So much fun.

Shelby Clone and GT 500 KR
Written by madam on March 29, 2008 – 11:32 am -Here are a couple of the Shelby’s that were shown at the recent car show. This one is a clone. The restoration took 5 years to complete. It has 302 Dyno to 510 horsepower! It also features the Mustang II front end.
The sound of this baby was literally out of this world. Mustang engines, when they are well done are like a kick – ass hard rock song.
This is a VERY rare 1968 Shelby GT 500 KR below. It was SO hot. “KR” stands for “King of the Road” for good reason. A car like this goes for around $200,000 right now, the same value as the Ferrari that was down the block from this car. It was definitely a show car, but looked like the owners also had fun “using” the car. I truly believe in DRIVING your car, not just garaging it 24/7. You have to SHARE with the world, and people appreciate this a lot. I have had people tell me that just seeing a classic mustang made their day.
