Then voting will continue until MAY 31ST.My name is Dana, I am a Firefighter with the US Forest Service. I’ve always wanted a Fastback since i was 16. I bought this 1968 Fastback when i was 25, its my second Mustang. (I have a 1995 Mustang GT as well)I put a Martz chassis front end on, it came with adjustable QA1 coilovers, flaming river steering, 13inch disc brakes, and got rid of the shock towers. The rear is a Martz chassis 4 link with adjustable coil overs, 13 inch disc brakes, Ford 9″ with 3.89 gears, 35spline axles and a detroit locker.I bought a 460 block bored and stroked to a 532ci. I put Edelbrock Heads and intake.Ford Motorsports 514 cam .588 intake .614 exhaust. Holley 1050 carb ( i want to be able to drive it on the street) Should make around 600-700HP. It has custom long tube headers and i plan on putting an x-pipe under it with possibly stainless steel flowmasters with the pipes dumped to the ground.I put subframe connectors in, a 4 point roll bar. I modified the rear wheel wells so that i can put a 17-18 inch rim on that will hold a 315 wide tire. I plan on putting a TKO600 transmission in it.Other mods i am going with all black interior, autometer gauges in the old style cluster, brushed aluminum dash, GPS/DVD screen stereo. Flaming River stainless steel steering column.The engine is so tall that i am going with a 6 inch cowl hood. I also have always liked the way Shelby GT500s looked with the scoops on the sides so i have some of those as well for the exterior. The brake cooler scoops are functional.I should be painting the car next week or the week after. I’ve choosen Laser Red as the paint color the same color as my dad’s 1998 Mustang Cobra drag car.

At the moment I have a supercharged 90′ thunderbird, a 02′ mustang and my baby a 289 1966 mustang coupe. I have had my 66′ for about two years and have been in the process of a complete restoration. When I bought the salvage title car it didn’t run, had no interior, no seats, the floors were rotted through, and was in horrible shape.In the resto process I:-welded all new floor pans-stripped the entire car 2 baremetal-welded in many new patches-put all the interior componets together (seats, dash, carpet, etc.)-new panels, fenders etc.-motor work.. rebuilt the carb, alternator, fan, radiator, tranny lines, etc.However it wasn’t complete, I wanted a mustang that would make people just an excited as the first time they saw one.. so I decided to go custom.I spent 5-6 days a week 6-10 hours a day in the shop working on my car for about two years now.. and the finished product is just around the corner. Im hoping to have her out in the next month.The custom work includes..-CUSTOM paint -PPG vibrance crystal black basecoat with SW CYAN/PURPLE racing stripes.. changes like 4 colors, DC4000 grade A clear coat.-window decals change colors 2 match paint, custom ordered.-rims, int. panels painted 2 match- 2tone dash and door panels-shaved door handles on remotes-289 V8 hooker headers chrome dress up-chrome monte carlo bar-front grill removed replaced with black mesh-GT350R apron, shaved side markers-shaved body lines-car was debadged, grills cut off, rocker moldings cut off and filledin.. for that clean look-functional ram air..79 cobra hood scoop (with stream air system)-led sequentail tail lights-tinted tail/back up lights-shelby cobra gas cap in polished aluminum-halogen headlights with blue leds-shelby side exhaust (on order)-all new chrome.. bezels, mirrors, etc.-gotta have the dice valve stem covers and door locks-new seats, carpet-subframe connectors-skull licence plate bolts ( i think they r sweet)

My first one was a 1987 Mustang GT that I bought as a beater that barely ran and turned it into an 11 second street-beast. It has just kept going from there. I love the looks that this car still draws in traffic. There is nothing like the sound of a classic american muscle car for the new era. It has been a show winner, head turner, and traffic stopper. This is my favorite pleasure in life, to get in, turn the key, hear the fuel pump ramp up, and then bring this beast to life. It was my daily driver for a while but then when I couldnt stop adding things to it, I knew I had to supplement it. There is so much more work in the plans for this car. Things to come are camshafts, forged-rotating assembly, long-tube headers, new blower pulley, and of course another re-tune. The end result should be over 500rwhp. The best part about this car is that I can either take it to the shows, out for a weekend cruise, or run flat out with the euros on the road track.Who knows where this will stop. Like I said before, I have a passion for these cars and I live to play with mine. All I have to do now is to find a house with a bigger garage so I can add more to the growing stable. All this so far at the age of 28…
